  9. The TACNEWS program underwent two changes that were not previously announced.
  10.  
  11. 1. DDN Security Bulletins are now readable via TACNEWS as menu item #8.
  12.  
  13. DDN Security Bulletins discuss general security issues, announce
  14. security information available, or warn about specific
  15. vulnerabilities.  DDN Security Bulletin 9003 describes how to
  16. report security problems that occur on the DDN.

  18. 2.  The information available via the TACNEWS program is now also
  19. available via the NIC/Query program on the NIC.DDN.MIL host.
  20.  
  21. TACNEWS is now menu item #7 on the top menu of NIC/Query.
  22. Choosing this item will present you with the familiar TACNEWS
  23. menu selections.

  25. Having TACNEWS available within the NIC/Query program means that users
  26. who wish to use both programs do not need to connect to the NIC host
  27. twice.  TACNEWS also remains available as a separate program for
  28. separate access for those users who find it more convenient to access
  29. it in the familiar manner.
